Production-wise, In 2009 Kayla interned at SNL and for 2 years worked directly for Lorne Michaels and his office, learning much about TV and live show and event production. She gained insight into the value of preparedness and dexterity, working with both talent and crew. Kayla was then taken from her position at SNL to be a part of the very small core team working to build the digital division of Mr. Michaels’ Broadway Video from the ground up in 2011. She toiled away in all facets of production there to create quality sketch series, PSA's, you name it. She also loved using her on-camera experience to perform in many manyvideos for the company, just some of which can be found in the Acting tab on this here site. She also production designed and art directed many of the videos she produced and designed for other producers as well. Kayla made any project come together despite variances in resources, thanks to the hard work of a few people wearing many hats each, and she enjoyed it. She enjoys hats. She worked freelance for a while after that working on many shows at all levels, from which she learned a lot. Kayla also loves researching, interviewing, and generally learning about and elevating the voices of those society doesn't often listen to.
She loves to honestly serve a story as an actor, she loves to think about characters, shows, films, plays, photo shoots, playing dress up and make believe.
She would most likely gladly discuss a host of related, or unrelated topics with you all day and night long.
She thanks you for visiting, watching and reading, and hopes to hear from you.
